The Real NYC #33 - The Statue of Liberty

I am not one who gets verklempt at “patriotic” landmarks. I have a lot of issues with the history of this country, and I am not very quick to accept the argument that says, “Well, you have to understand the times.” That being said, there are two monuments that I find moving. One is The Lincoln Memorial. The other is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frederic Bartholdi and built by Gustav Eiffel.
